Polyester laminating Resins are the most commonly used resins in the marine industry. These resins are MARINE GRADE and hardened with MEKP. When working with these resins it is advisable to wear gloves , eye protection, and a chemical respirator. These resins can be used with all types of fiberglass cloth and mat. Polyester resin can be used with carbon fiber, urethane foam, and core materials, but not Styrofoam. Polyester resin is rigid when cured.
All of our resins are sold WITH WAX ( and MEKP hardener) in separate two ounce containers. Wax and MEKP are included in the purchase price !
When polyester resin is used without wax, it dries with a tacky surface that allows you to add a second coat without sanding. If you add wax it dries to a smooth , slick , not sticky , non tacky hard surface.. (This thin wax layer must be sanded away before painting or adding another layer of polyester.) The advantage getting wax with your resin lets you decide whether to use the polyester without wax so multiple layers can be done without sanding, and then add wax to the polyester resin before the final coat. No need to buy two different kinds of polyester resin when you buy from us !

Premium Resin
High quality resin. Instructions for hardener and wax were clear. Came with 2 measuring cups. Worked very well. Used roller and brush. Performed great. Used wax on final coat and lightly sanded for painting. Easy. Truly a premium product.

I will be buying more.
This resin is comparable to some high price resins, you will enjoy working with it. I use just a bit less hardener than the chart which gives me a few extra minutes. It is very fluid, wets easy and smooths out great. I have not seen one bubble or air pocket with this product.

Excellent resin to use for making molds. Saturates chop stranded mat really well. Will buy this product again

Check what you got in the bag before you start.
I started out reading the instructions. I then started looking around for things to mix the stuff with. I was amazed everything I needed was in the bag. Now I've done a lot of fiber glassing but I've never had a product that flowed as easy and had great instructions.

Superior Product
After using resin from a local paint supplier then thought I would give fiberglassite resin a try I was pleasantly surprised by the lower viscosity and flow ability of fiberglassite resin. Cost was much lower with fiberglassite resin compared to the paint supplier also.

Easy to use product
Liked that they provided measuring cups and separate wax. Very good instructions for proper mixes at different ambient temperatures.
