Freshness is so important when buying polyester resin.
Because of our low price we sell a lot of polyester resin,  and get in new stock about every two weeks.
People who use our resin rave about it , and never  buy any other brand again !

Polyester Resins are the most commonly used resins in the marine industry. These resins are MARINE GRADE  hardened with MEKP. When working with these resins it is advisable to wear gloves , eye protection, and a chemical respirator. These resins can be used with all types of fiberglass cloth and mat. Polyester resin can be used with carbon fiber, urethane foam, and core materials, but not Styrofoam. Polyester resin is rigid when cured.

All of our resins are sold WITH WAX ( and MEKP hardener) in separate two ounce containers. Wax and MEKP are included in the purchase price !

When polyester resin is used without wax, it dries with a tacky surface that allows you to add a second coat without sanding. If you add wax it dries to a smooth , slick , not sticky , non tacky hard surface.. (This thin wax layer must be sanded away before painting or adding another layer of polyester.) The advantage getting wax with your resin lets you decide whether to use the polyester without wax so multiple layers can be done without sanding, and then add wax to the polyester resin before the final coat. No need to buy two different kinds of polyester resin when you buy from us !

MEKP drying agent, and wax mixing directions come with the resin.

We sell Gallons, Multiple gallons, and 55 gallon drums.

FRESHNESS !!!

Did you know that polyester resin has a three to four month shelf life? Do you think the resin at the home store or the automotive store is fresh? .. We receive shipments of resin at least twice a month, and we keep the MEKP hardener refrigerated until shipping!.

CAN NOT BE SHIPPED BY UNITED STATES POST OFFICE, YOU MUST CHOOSE UPS FOR YOUR SHIPPER, CAN NOT BE SHIPPED UPS  AIR .

600 sq ft deck. Worked great.

Posted by Joe B on 8th Aug 2018

I used the fiberglasssite products to cover my new 600 sq ft carport roof so I could use it as a deck. Mikes videos were very helpful for a first time user. We wanted a light brown taupe color so we mixed brown dye into the white gel coat resin and got the perfect result. Applied on a 90 degree day with the 11cc and worked 2 gallons at a time. All went well. Only suggestion I have not covered in the video is to lift the top joint fabric to get the resin easier into the bottom layer then immediately lay the second layer of the joint into the wet resin and roll more resin into the second layer of the joint. Just found easier to get both layers of the joint wet this way to avoid air pockets. Will use again. Thanks Mike for selling these products. I couldn’t get it from the secret society of fiberglass deck installers.

    Like a pro

We’re do I start - at first I was intimidated by the 5 gallon container but with the spout it was easy and I was only using 4 oz at a time. I’ve used a ton of resin and this by far was the easiest The working time and how fast it wet out the cloth was insane. How nice the resin flowed and the working time I’m using a lot less resin and my work looks better

    Handles exactly as claimed

I restore rotten woodwork in up-market fiberglass hull pleasure and fishing boats. Resin wet-out and set time are very important, as I often use heavy fabrics and multiple layers, especially when bonding new transom woodwork into place Even with Louisiana summer temperatures in the 90's, I can mix and handle one full quart of this resin at a time, with no problems and no waste. Other resins I have used simply can't do that.

    Turns fast

Posted by James Eby on 13th Aug 2017

This was my first time doing a project this large (4' X 8'). I got everything ready; 1.5 mat cut and laid out on the surface to be glassed, tools ready, so all I had to do was mix the resin and go. Temp was 89 deg F and I was working in shade. The instructions say 11cc hardener per quart up to 90 deg and 9cc for 91 and over. For my first batch I mixed 3 quarts with 30 cc hardener (10cc/qt). I used a drill to mix the resin and quickly started spreading. Poured a pint on the cloth and spread it, then poured the next pint and could see it was already turning. This was at most 10 min after mixing. I was not able to get the second pint to spread before it got hard. I had to cut out some of the mat because I couldn't get it soaked up and stuck down before the resin hardened. I threw out the other two quarts. The next batch I mixed 2 quarts at 8 cc/qt and barely got all of that spread... the last of that batch was turning and left some areas that I had to cut out the mat because I couldn't get that to lay down. Finally, I started mixing at 7cc/qt and that seemed to work ok. My bad for not experimenting on some scrap before going to the real project. In the end, I got the job done at 7cc/qt and it worked out good.

    Great service great resin

Posted by Dave on 3rd Jan 2017

Resin is great and always fresh but the service is even better. I've placed a number of orders in the past and every one has shipped the same day. Some within hours. 5 gallon pail to Michigan by ground in two days. Wow.
